The Google AJAX Search API is designed to make it easier for webmasters and developers to do two things:

1. Add a dynamic search box to your site that includes Google Web, Video, News, Maps, and Blog search results.
2. Build powerful web apps on top of Google search. See some samples.

Add Google AJAX Search API gadgets to your personalized Google homepage: Video gadget: Find, save, tag, and watch videos directly from your personalized homepage. Map Search gadget: Run Google Maps searches and scroll through the local results directly on the map. Mini Search gadget: Look up phone numbers and quick facts directly from your personalized homepage.
